HOW TO CREATE LOGOS IN MS WORD PART 1
MICROSOFT WORD DRAWING PROJECT No. 27 PART 1
TITLE: HOW TO CREATE LOGOS IN MS WORD
TYPE: GRAPHIC DESIGN
Logos are designs or symbols that represent the identities of corporations, institutions and organizations. They are also useful for advertising purposes. Since a logo is like a symbol, it is best to keep things simple when designing a logo. We don’t want viewers to scratch their heads trying to figure out what the logo is about. A good logo design reflects the image and reputation of the company or organization it represents. Logo designs are normally flat and two-dimensional but there are also logo designs that are three-dimensional. Compare the logos of the reputable companies like The Coca-Cola Company and Nestle Products. Can you see the difference between these two designs?
In designing a logo, we must first choose the subject matter that represents the company or organization. Most logo designs use letters, shapes or forms as subject matter. Some logo designs use three colours, e.g. Red, Black and White. In this project, I’ll show how to use MS Word to create three logo designs based on letters, shape and form.
An IT company logo designed from Impact letters using WordArt.
An investment company logo designed from shape and letters.
An apparel company logo designed from form and letters.
